IntraEdge and Pyramid introduce privacy oriented self-check temperature kiosk

IntraEdge, a technology talent, products, services and training organization, and Pyramid, a kiosk manufacturer, have launched a “privacy first” self check temperature kiosk, Janus, an enterprise level contactless solution for supporting companies in getting back to business, according to a press release.

The Janus kiosk allows companies to comply with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s daily health check expectations and user privacy. To meet health, privacy and security standards, Janus leverages Pyramid’s Flex kiosk’s thermal imaging technology and the Truyo Privacy Rights Platform, an IntraEdge product powered by Intel.

Janus’ contactless check-in process can be integrated into existing HR systems and can support card scanning and manual inputs as needed.

Integrating the Truyo Privacy Rights Platform into the Pyramid Flex kiosk ensures transparency for the privacy and security of user data, as well as corporate compliance with global security regulations like the CCPA and GDPR. Janus only collects temperature values taken using the thermal imaging camera, and this information is immediately encrypted then transmitted to Truyo’s cloud environment. No data is stored on the kiosk itself.

Janus can be installed freestanding, using a wall mount or on a countertop. All touchpoints on Janus are within ADA reach along with an audio interface for visually impaired users.
